You can't tell from the image, but that Dell M1095 projector can fit in the palm of your hand (3.64" x 4.12" x 1.46"). With a modest brightness of 55 lumens and resolution of 858x600 (SVGA), the DLP-based M1095 maintains a respectable throw distance of roughly 8 feet. To follow up on its bicycling Murata Boy robot, Murata has subtracted a wheel hired a stylist, thrown in a gyroscope and come up with the Seiko-chan or "Little Seiko" unicycling robot. The small robot will be able to move forward and backward on its single wheel, and is even capable of keeping its balance at a standstill. Intended as an educational tool for youngsters, the bot can be controlled with Bluetooth and has a small camera mounted on the front.

Murata claims that Little Seiko is designed to look like a Kindergarten-aged girl, but I can't help but see the likeness to EVE, WALL-E's incorrigibly charming onscreen lady interest. The odd, outstretched arms (which are likely vital for balancing) and Pith helmet make the robot a little less endearing than its Pixar counterpart, but the resemblance is undeniable. Little Seiko's big debut is slated for CEATECH, when we'll actually get to see this thing in action. [Crunchgear]

Reed Ghazala is considered the father of circuit bending. And if you've followed our coverage of the sporadic musical art of circuit bending here on Giz, you probably realize that only a huge hippie like Ghazala could be behind the trend. This interview is 8 minutes long, but whether it was Ghazala's interesting background or just that crazy shirt, we watched the whole thing. With only a few weeks to go until Election Day, director/showman/clown—strike out words depending on your political preferences—Michael Moore's Slacker Uprising is now available in the internet. Created to promote vote among young people, Moore is saying that this is the first full feature film to be released for free on the web, using Blip.tv, Amazon Video on Demand, iTunes, DivX, MPEG4, and Lycos VOD.

The movie follows a 60 city tour across twenty battleground states to promote voting with the objective to change the color of the current administration. It has appearances by REM, Joan Baez (Steve Jobs' former girlfriend, for those of you who are not as old as myself), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Viggo Mortensen, Roseanne Barr, and of course, Michael Moore himself, as well as a bunch of extras. Quite honestly, while I personally agree—looking from outside the US—with the need for change, I would have preffered to get the Dark Knight free in HD. [Slacker Uprising]

Nokia's a little late to the touchscreen game—and they've been parading the "Tube" around for a while ("we promise, it's coming!"). Now details are starting to build for a rumored October 2 announcement of the Tube (known more stodgily as the 5800 XpressMusic), fanned by the leaked pic above spotted by Mobile.cz. The date also coincides nicely with the expected timeframe of Nokia's "Comes With Music" launch, since this is primarily a music phone. Made by Ryan Cashman, this movie shows you that with a chunk of ingenuity and a huge bucket-load of patience you can make movies with any old DSLR. Ryan's clip of an LED pianist was made with nothing more sophisticated than a green keychain LED and a Canon digital Rebel. Tim Goddard is at it again with his Star Wars mini-fighters. This time he has built the mother of all Lego Star Wars battles, with thousands of pieces and hundreds of spaceships, Imperial walkers, Rebel hovercrafts and even a movable turbolaser train. The level of detail and complexity is mindblowing, as you can see in the massive gallery:

I'm tempted to donate all my Lego to Tim to see if he can build a complete Death Star trench scene at this scale, with a couple hundred fighters and towers.

The only bad thing about this scale, however, is the lack of minifigs, which are my personal obsession. And yes, you know exactly what I'm going to say now: Go Miniman Go! contest! The end of October is the deadline and we have priceless vintage sets that run for thousands of dollars in eBay, waiting for the winners.
